Board Director’s Message
The M.Div is historically and globally recognized as the standard professional
degree for pastoral ministry. Through this program, CTSI seeks to prepare leaders
who are: rooted in the authority of Scripture, equipped in biblical interpretation and
theology, trained in preaching, pastoral care, and church leadership, sensitive to the
cultural realities of Africa, committed to integrity, servant leadership, and spiritual
formation. This program will not simply produce graduates with academic
knowledge. Our goal is to nurture shepherds after God’s own heart who will lead
the Church with wisdom, humility, and faithfulness.
The decision to launch the M.Div program was made after careful prayer,
consultation, and assessment of the spiritual and leadership needs of the Church in
Tanzania and beyond. The Board is convinced that the future of the African
Church depends on leadership development, theological education is
essential for healthy church growth, and local leaders must be trained within
their own cultural and ministry context.)
Through this program, CTSI aims to become a center for pastoral formation,
theological excellence, and spiritual renewal for Tanzania and the wider region.
We believe that the impact of this program will extend far beyond the classroom.
Graduates of the M.Div program will serve as: pastors and church planters, teachers
and theological educators, ministry leaders and missionaries, spiritual mentors for
the next generation.
In the years ahead, we envision a growing network of churches strengthened by
faithful leadership and grounded in the truth of God’s Word. We humbly ask
churches, ministry partners, and believers to pray for this new endeavor. The task of
preparing spiritual leaders is a sacred responsibility, and we depend entirely on the
grace and guidance of God. We also welcome partnership from churches and
organizations who share the vision of strengthening the Church through theological
education and leadership development.
