Chairman’s Message

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is with deep gratitude to God and a profound sense of responsibility that the Board
of Trustees of CTSI announces the launch of the Master of Divinity (M.Div)
program, scheduled to begin in September 2026.

Tanzania and the East African region are experiencing remarkable church growth.
The gospel is spreading rapidly, and many congregations are being established
across cities, towns, and rural communities. However, alongside this growth, there is
an urgent and growing need for well-trained, biblically grounded, and spiritually
mature church leaders. Many churches today face challenges such as: Limited
access to formal theological education, shortage of trained pastors and teachers, the
spread of shallow or unbalanced teachings, increasing cultural, social, and ethical
challenges confronting believers. The future health of the Church depends not only
on numerical growth but on sound doctrine, faithful leadership, and spiritual
depth.

Recognizing this critical need, the Board of Trustees has prayerfully and carefully
determined that the time has come to establish a full-scale pastoral training
program through the Master of Divinity. As we begin this new chapter, we entrust
this program to the Lord, believing His promise:

“I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and
understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:15)

May this M.Div program become a channel through which God raises faithful leaders
for His Church in Tanzania, Africa, and beyond.
